Top tips to stay beautiful this summer

Five nice and easy things to think about during your summer makeup regime...

Summer is a great time to get out and enjoy yourself outdoors, be it at your local park, on the beach or at a theme park. However, ladies might feel they want to take some steps to ensure they look at their very best while doing so. For some this might involve surgery such as rhinoplasty, while for others it might simply be a case of thinking a little more carefully about their make-up and outfits.

Here are a few tips that we think will help you to stay looking fab on the sunny days ahead.

Protect your skin…

It’s probably fair to say that after a long spell of cold weather most people welcome a day in the sun, but it can be easy to forget the harm it can cause to your skin. To avoid overdoing it make sure you apply sun cream with an SPF of 30 or more in advance of stepping outdoors. Allow plenty of time for it to soak and don’t be afraid to reapply throughout the day, particularly if you you’re planning on swimming.

Try a tinted moisturiser…

If you’re struggling to put your foundation aside this summer then why not try a tinted moisturiser in its place? This should also provide you with a natural looking healthy glow.

Choose your mascara wisely…

If you’re likely to be out and about for most of the day, or are attending a music festival, then you might find your normal mascara smudges a little more easily than you’re accustomed to. To try and combat this you could perhaps apply a little brown eyeliner first and then try a waterproof or clear mascara, with both likely to be slightly less hassle than normal mascara.

Use a primer…

During the summer you may find it’s a good idea to reduce the amount of make-up you use overall. One way to make this task simpler is to start out by applying a primer, which should allow you to use less product and avoid you needing to make touch-ups throughout the day. So, whether you’ve had a nose job or otherwise you can feel good about yourself.

Keep your make-up in a cool dry place…

Lastly, if the temperature rises then remember to keep your make-up somewhere out of harm’s way – preferably in a cool dry place to avoid being left with a melted mess.
